The Democratic Party of Outagamie County (DPOC) is one of 72 county parties throughout Wisconsin working hard to raise awareness of the progressive values that drive our party — opportunity, equality, and well-being for all. We seek and support candidates for office who will lead and commit to upholding these progressive values.
Located in Northeast Wisconsin, we serve the communities of Appleton, Little Chute, Combined Locks, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Wrightstown, Seymour, Black Creek, Shiocton, New London, Hortonville, Greenville, Grand Chute, and others in Outagamie County. We are 250+ members strong and growing. We are old, young, and in-between. We are made up of a diversity of voices and experiences and are welcoming and inclusive to all. The mission of the Democratic Party of Outagamie County is to raise awareness of the Democratic Party’s values, grow our membership, and develop an engaged network of volunteers to help elect Democrats into office at all levels — in local, state, and federal elections.
The purpose of our local county party, per our constitution, is as follows: “It shall be the primary responsibility of the County Party to develop the fullest possible Party membership in the county; to hold regularly scheduled meetings; to encourage Democratic candidates for county and legislative offices; to form and maintain an effective campaign organization; to make recommendations for a Party platform; and, generally, to promote the interests of the Democratic Party in the county.”
There are several core beliefs that tie our party together: Democrats believe that we’re greater together than we are on our own — that this country succeeds when everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same rules. Our party is focused on building an economy that lifts up all Americans, not just those at the top.
The Democratic Party of Outagamie County supports the platforms of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and the National Democratic Party.
