Community First: Storm Recovery in Outagamie
How Outagamie County comes together when our neighbors need us most
When severe storms swept across Outagamie County, political labels vanished. What remained was simple: neighbors helping neighbors. From clearing storm debris to stocking local emergency shelters, our community immediately stepped up to care for one another.
Politics, at its core, is just how we choose to look out for each other. As recovery continues, Outagamie County Democrats are fully focused on supporting local relief efforts.

Talking to our neighbors (canvassing) can tip the scales by up to 6 points. And as close as our elections are here in our state, it seems like a no brainer that we all participate. If you’re new, we will train you and can set you up for success with an experienced canvasser. We target only very specific persuadable doors. NOT Strong Republicans. We have an opportunity to win the Assembly, the State Senate and the Governor’s office. How much do you want change? When we do the work- WE WIN! If you can’t canvass then please sign up for phonebanks on our events page.

What is Friend to Friend outreach?
|
Friend to Friend outreach is organizing with your own personal network of friends, family and coworkers. Studies point to the fact that voters trust their own networks a great deal! This is why we are using a specialized app that allows you to put in valuable information on how your friends align politically.
|
If we know how people lean it helps us target homes appropriately for canvassing. We do not canvass Strong Republicans and with Strong Democrats we do not canvass them until the last few weeks before the election to get out the vote. We have a lot of people in Outagamie County that we are unsure of their political affiliation. That’s where you can come in. We can train you do use the app in a half hour or less. It’s easy to use and also lets you see how regularly your friends vote. That way you can remind the ones who aren’t regulars. Remember how often you vote is public information. Who you vote for is NOT public.
