The Democratic Party of Outagamie County does not officially endorse in spring “nonpartisan” elections, but the leadership board may choose to offer a suggested candidate. The process for our county Democratic Party involves a structured and transparent approach to ensure that we support candidates who align with our values and objectives and ideally have demonstrated some connection to our efforts locally. Below is a brief description of the steps involved in our suggested candidate process:

  1. Candidate Submission: Candidates interested in receiving our “suggested candidate” label will be required to submit a survey detailing their platform, priorities, and vision for their work.

  2. Leadership Review: The submitted surveys will be reviewed by the county Democratic Party leadership team. This team will assess candidates based on their qualifications, community support, and responses.

  3. Leadership Vote: Following the review of candidate survey responses, the leadership team will convene to discuss the findings. A vote will then be conducted among the leadership to determine which candidates will receive our official suggestion. A simple majority will be required for a "suggested candidate" label to be granted.

  4. Announcement: Once suggested candidates are decided, the results will be communicated to all party members and made public through our official channels, including newsletters and social media.

**Denotes a “suggested candidate” in the race. It does not act as an official endorsement. Only those who have submitted surveys are considered.
