Law enforcement institutions under attack by GOP

What are Republican representatives saying in response to Donald Trump’s conviction? I watched Glenn Grothman’s rant, claiming that a President Biden's Justice Department wrongly convicted him.

The first problem with this is that it was a state of New York case that the Justice Department had nothing to do with. He was convicted by a jury in a trial where the judge was extremely careful to give him every opportunity for fairness, especially his instructions before deliberations.

The second is the claim that our Justice Department is being influenced by President Biden. I have been paying attention during his presidency, and have never seen evidence of this. The very fact that his son, Hunter, is still facing charges proves that he allows the department to operate independently.

It is scary that respect for our critical law enforcement institutions are under attack by a party that used to honor their work, and all because they have made an idol out of one man who can never admit defeat or wrongdoing.

It is also mind boggling that any veteran can support a person who broke the same oath they took to 'protect and defend' on Jan. 6, 2021, when he allowed Congress to be attacked and did nothing for hours until the insurrectionists were turned back.

My challenge to all is to pay attention. Who is really trying to destroy America and the institutions that make it work?
