JoCasta Zamarripa represents Milwaukee’s near south side on the Common Council and served five terms in the State Assembly, where in 2010 she became the first Latina elected to the Wisconsin Legislature. She was raised by a single mother and was the first in her family to graduate college.
She is running for Secretary of State and would be the first Latina to hold statewide office in Wisconsin.
