Biden’s Record Proves He’s Not Too Old
By Kelly Fenton
Narratives are a funny thing. They don’t have to be true. They just have to take hold.
Take this notion that President Biden is too old for the job as Exhibit No. 1.
Let’s examine the record and maybe the narrative will give way to obvious fact.
The president is deftly navigating two enormously complex international crises to great acclaim. Further, he has engineered some of the most comprehensive job-creating legislation of any president in the past 30 years. The Big Three are the Inflation Reduction Act, which has already created tens of thousands of jobs and is estimated to generate as many as nine million jobs over the next decade while reducing the deficit and addressing climate change in the most meaningful way in history; the bi-partisan Infrastructure Bill which, again, is creating tens of thousands of good-paying American jobs and tackling a long-neglected need; and the CHIPS act, a bill that is creating many more jobs in the technology sector and allowing America to take the lead in the semiconductor industry.
If you still think he is too old, consider the alternative: a malignant narcissist only three years younger than Biden; who has 91 felony counts against him; is about to forfeit nearly a quarter of a billion dollars for real estate fraud; is credibly accused by 17 women of rape; and, for his crowning achievement, attempted to overturn the 2020 election.
We all wish we had younger candidates but given the choices, this one couldn’t be clearer.
